Binjour Plateau is a small rural school with a current enrolment of 7 delightful students. Our school motto is 'Grow with Binjour'.
Students are taught the Australian Curriculum in a multi-age classroom from Prep to year 6. Quality results are achieved by teachers understanding each individual students' strengths and planning differentiated teaching and learning experiences using high yield pedagogies. This provides students with opportunities to utilise their strengths when demonstrating their knowledge and understanding.
Specialist teachers visit the school to teach Health & Physical Education, Music and Chinese (year 3-6 students). Our school chaplain visits the school each Wednesday to support the wellbeing of staff, students and families.
We have a dedicated and professional team who are committed to providing quality education for all students in a caring and supportive learning environment.
Our P&C committee provide ongoing support to ensure students have access to quality hands-on resources to use inside and outside the classroom.
Having grown up on a sheep farm on the South Island of New Zealand, I understand the importance and traditions of rural schools. Hence the importance I place on creating a sense of belonging and providing opportunites for staff, students, families and the community to achieve success.
